Stayin' Pretty is Hard Work

Well, it's been another couple of weeks in Iowa, and I must say, I do get dirty. It's usually from rolling around in the grass or just eating my food. But that Brad guy got us caught out in the rain during a walk one day. I'm not sure what his deal is, we could all see the clouds rolling in. Anyway, back to my dirt. I mean, I'm still super cute and pretty, but I felt like I needed to step it up a notch. So, Suzy decided to give me a bath, and it sure felt great.

First, Suzy got me all wet.

Then, and this was completely to try and help Suzy get me cleaned up, I tried to climb up the side of the tub. You know, so Suzy wouldn't have to bend over so far to hose me down.

After that, I thought we were all done. But then, out of nowhere, Suzy decided she wanted to play peek-a-boo. She is so easy to surprise. It's like, every time she uncovers my eyes, she gets all excited. Like I disappeared and then I reappeared from out of nowhere. Hello, I was here the whole time.

By this time, Buddy was getting quite impatient, as he really wanted to play.

Suzy finally finished up bath time with a super sweet dry-job. I'm livin' in luxury, I must say.

Even though Suzy did a good job drying me off, she did miss a few spots, so I finished drying off myself.

So, as you can see, I am being very well taken care of in Iowa. I'm nice and clean, and ready to play.

Those are my latest adventures. Stay tuned, there's more to come!

Here I am Iowa, Deal with It!

Ok, it's been a few days since I last blogged. I was very busy getting ready for my big move to Iowa. Yesterday, I hopped in Grandma and Grandpa's car and made the long trip up to Iowa.

Last night, I hung out with Grandma, Grandpa, Suzy, and Brad at Suzy's house. I think it's a great new home. I like that I have found my new spot so I can keep an eye on the neighborhood.

I even have my own spot at Brad's to lay and relax after my busy, fun days. It is super comfy. Look at Buddy checkin' my fine self out. I'm not even trying to be cute.

See, I told you he was checking me out. Again, seriously, I'm not even trying. Mom, why can't boys ever take a hint?

Well, I decided that Buddy and I could be friends, but ONLY FRIENDS.

There is so much room to run and play in Iowa. Suzy can't keep up with me, I'm too speedy.

Suzy did catch us eventually so we could take this picture together. I think we look pretty good, don't you?

So, after some deep thought and contemplation, I think I'm going to like living in Iowa for a while. I still miss my Mommy a lot, but I know she's having great adventures just like me.

I love Iowa, especially the grass. I have to take advantage of this before there is snow on the ground.

You make sure to have lots of fun Mom, just like me. I'll write again soon.

It's Official!

I sent off my acceptance barks yesterday, and soon I will be an official resident of Iowa!

I've been asking my aunt Suzy, grandma, and grandpa lots of questions about Iowa, and it sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun!

I'm going to live in Iowa because my mom Erin is going on a new adventure to the Ukraine to join the Peace Corps. It's too far away for me to fly there, so I'm going to live in Iowa for a while. I think it's going to be a great place to live until my mom comes back.

There's so much to do between now and the middle of September. I already got a beautiful haircut. I sure hope Buddy is impressed.

I have to make sure I have all of my toys.

And, of course, I need to have a comfy place to sleep.

I'm going to miss my mom, but I know we're both going to have a lot of fun the next two years. And I'm going to tell her stories of my adventures and show her pictures right here on this blog.
